ALL YOUR FILTRATION REQUIREMENTS AVAILABLE WITH US
Inside 100 cubic metres of compressed air, there are, on average, 2.2 litres of water (75% in liquid form and 25% in gaseous form), 2 grams of oil, 8 million solid particles and odours, some determined by the compression process but mainly by the environment in which the compressor sucks in air. Water, oil, impurities and odours cause alterations in the quality of the air produced, corrosion of the pipes and damage to the pneumatic equipment, thus negatively affecting performance. The quality of compressed air is therefore fundamental for the reliability of the machinery and quality of the final product. The ISO 8573-1:1991 standard classifies the maximum values accepted for each application, in terms of oil, water and particles content, defining the quality requirements of the air in the system and based on the process needs.
To compound all this, the compression process increases the concentration of solid particles suspended in the atmosphere, generated by natural phenomena but also by polluting agents or industrial processes. Some production processes do not tolerate the presence of these substances.
The proper choice of filters avoids problems to the systems caused by the presence of oil or impurities in the air. CAC’s filters ensure clean compressed air, free of oil and impurities, for the many different applications and the most demanding ones.
Our complete range of air treatment devices includes a comprehensive range of compressed air filters which allow, when correctly selected and installed, achieve the highest of compressed air quality standards. Our range includes pre-filters, for dust removal, oil removal filters and carbon activated filters in order to achieve dry and odourless compressed air. The whole filter range ensures minimum pressure drop and a long lasting operational lifetime. Most filters are available with optional automatic floating condensate drain such as the electronic level controlled drain devices.
With Compressed Air Centre, it is possible to create the perfect compressed air system, down to the finest, required detail. The wide range of accessories and components included in our stock allows us to design customised solutions for any need, with the assurance of an optimal quality level of the air requirements.
According to European regulations, the residual oil content per litre of water released into drainage systems must not exceed 10 mg/l. (The oil content in non treated condensate exceeds 250 mg/l). The CAC water/oil separators are capable of removing mineral and synthetic oil resulting from the use of your compressors. We ensure the condensate discharged by compressed air systems will give a residual oil content well below current law limits. Our water/oil separator accommodates any type of condensate drain (float, timer-operated, capacitance drains, etc.) and the outlet water can be piped directly into the drainage system.
